The "Bernard" root elevator is used for removing fractured roots or root remnants. The working part measures 4.0 mm in size. These root elevators combine the function of a root tip elevator and a periotome. The inner side is concave, and the side edges are sharp. By using rotating movements and gentle pressure, the ligaments can be separated and the root remnant loosened.
